How do I speak to the patient using text?

Type directly into the chat box to communicate with the patient.

All users may talk with the patient by typing with their keyboard.

1. Select a patient, or wait for the host to select a patient and that the active chat window is visible.
2. Type your message into the chat box.
3. Once the button is pressed, it will turn green, indicating that you are free to speak to the patient.
4. The patients’ response will appear in the chat transcript, and will play through your selected audio output.

Please note the following:

• Only one message will be sent to the patient at a time. If you send multiple messages in rapid succession the patient will answer them one at a time until they catch up. It is best to let the patients’ respond to each question before asking another.
