How much space do I need to run a HoloScenarios simulation?

Space requirements for HoloScenarios

Each HoloScenarios module (Respiratory, BLS, etc) will have its own space requirements. Check the Facilitator Guide for specific measurements of open space recommended for each.

A few things to keep in mind are:

  1. Participants need to be able to work safely and without worrying that they will run into furniture or other objects in the environment. In general, an open area about 10' x10' (3.3m x 3.3m) will be sufficient.
  2. Allow for the space that will be taken up by all the participants in the session.
  3. The session host can adjust the placement of many of the holographic objects in the scene (crash cart, cabinets, IV stand, etc.) to fit into smaller spaces. If it's an especially small space, some items which are not critical to the experience might even be moved very far out of view to reduce crowding.
  4. If there will be remote participants, remember that their working space may be quite different. Communicate to them in advance what the requirements will be so they can adequately prepare and be ready for the simulation.
