Why does my app indicate there is a network problem?

If you are seeing the icon indicating Internet issues, it may not mean what you think.

On the Session panel in many GigXR apps there is an icon which indicates the quality of the Internet connection. When this icon is green, the connection is good. When the icon is red and shows an exclamation mark, your connectivity is not optimal.

Please remember that the Internet connectivity icon will reflect the quality of you connection all the way from the HoloLens to our cloud server and back again. It will be affected by any gaps, delays, bottlenecks, etc. that it encounters on that (sometimes very long!) journey. Unfortunately, like everything else relying on Internet connections, sometimes you just need to reinitiate the communication to find a better route.

Please try completely closing the app you're working in, relaunch and log in again. And try the connection. If you find that this repeatedly plagues your sessions please:
(1) try using an alternate WiFi network,
(2) contact your local IT support to check whether there are known bottlenecks in your system,
